Leadership Oklahoma City, founded in 1981, is a local nonprofit organization committed to the development of effective community leaders. In addition to the adult programs, the Signature Program and LOYAL (Linking OKC’s Young Adult Leaders), Leadership Oklahoma City has three programs for high school age participants under its Youth Leadership Exchange (YLX) umbrella and a robust Alumni Association. The programs each use a varying combination of community information, skills for volunteer leadership, networking, and community projects to engage participants more effectively in community service.

Leadership OKC has trained over 3,500 adult and youth leaders to work toward improving their community.

Leadership Oklahoma City develops leaders for civic service.

The strategies by which Leadership Oklahoma City advances the mission are:

Educating about the community's needs, resources, and opportunities;

Training in skills necessary for effective community leadership; and

Connecting people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives with a common interest in community improvement.
