Leadership Oklahoma City develops leaders for civic service.

 Leadership Oklahoma City (LOKC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the pool of volunteers who have the capacity to be effective forces of positive change in the community.

The strategies by which Leadership Oklahoma City advances this mission are:

1. Educating about the community's needs, resources, and opportunities;
2. Training in skills necessary for effective community leadership; and
3. Connecting people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives with a common interest in community improvement.

These three strategies are used in Leadership Oklahoma City's programming, which target two population groups:

Adult programming currently includes:

1. The Signature Program, now in its 26th year, a community information program;
2. The LOYAL (Linking OKC's Young Adult Leaders) Program, a skills-based program; and the
3. Alumni Association, which provides continuing education and connections to adult program graduates.

Youth Leadership Exchange (YLX) programming currently includes:

1. Leadership Skills program, for high school sophomores and juniors, a community information program;
2. Youth in Action program, for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, a skills-based program; and the
3. Youth Council of Oklahoma City, for high school juniors and seniors, a project of the City of Oklahoma City managed by YLX, which educates and involves teenagers in city government.
