Clyde Benn Service to Youth Award
Clyde Benn and Pat Gallagher at the 1999 Paragon AwardsClyde Benn, former Director of the Office of Minority Health at the Oklahoma State Health Department, passed away in early 2000. He was a member of Leadership Oklahoma City Class XI, its board of directors, and a longtime friend and mentor to Youth Leadership Exchange class members. Clyde's personal motto was Pass it on--one who learns, teaches; one who receives, shares; one who is loved, loves others.

To honor Clyde's service and credo, the YLX Board of Directors created an award in his name that includes a $2500 cash gift to the youth-serving organization of the recipient's choice.

If you know an adult in Oklahoma County who is an extraordinary volunteer in service to youth, submit a nomination for the Clyde Benn Service to Youth Award. Help the Youth Leadership Exchange honor the volunteers who make a difference in the lives of young people.
