Clyde Benn Service to Youth Award: 
YLX Honors an Outstanding Volunteer for Youth
Any metropolitan Oklahoma City organization that works with young people is encouraged to nominate an outstanding volunteer for the Youth Leadership Exchange's Clyde Benn Service to Youth Award.
One nominee is selected annually as the Clyde Benn Service to Youth Award recipient. He or she is honored at the May Graduation of the Youth Leadership Exchange, and a local youth-serving organization of the recipient's choice receives a $2,500 cash grant to be used in its youth programming. Nominations are due in the YLX office by March 21, 2008.
Award Criteria
1. Volunteer: The nomination must be for a volunteer who has a sustained and significant commitment to "hands-on" service to youth. Individuals may not be nominated for work they do with youth for which they are paid. For example, an unpaid volunteer coach would be eligible; a paid coach would not be eligible.
2. Local: Nominations are accepted from metropolitan Oklahoma City individuals, non-profits, churches or other faith organizations, schools, sports associations, and other organizations and groups that work with young people locally.
3. Content: Nominations should address the nominee's local volunteer service to youth.
4. Format: Nominations are limited to no more than 3 double-spaced, 10 pt. font pages.
5. Deadline: Nominations are due on March 21.
