The Signature Program, now in its 26th year, is a 10-month-long series of classes, each focusing on a different community issue. A diverse mix of class members complete the program as a group, becoming
resources for each other as they learn about community issues.
Class Membership
Up to 45 class members are selected from an application pool in late spring of each year for the program to commence the following fall. Class members are selected to represent a broad range of occupations and backgrounds.
Class Sessions
Class sessions, usually the second Thursday of each month September through May, are daylong events held around Oklahoma City, depending on the topic for that class.
Class Topics
The program begins with a two-day Opening Retreat and ends with a one-day Closing Retreat that target community leadership skills. The remaining 7 daylong sessions each focus on a specific community topic.
Currently, topics are:
Public Safety
Health and Medical Services
Human Services
Government and the Media
Education
Quality of Life
Economic Development.
